QKStudio's successful political marketing campaign

After the PASO primaries, the digital marketing agency developed “Cuidá tu voto” (“Protect your vote”), an integrated concept with a range of actions in San Miguel for Joaquín de la Torre.

In the period after the PASO primary elections, the agency worked on the “Cuidá tu voto” digital campaign for the mayor of San Miguel, Joaquín de la Torre, designing a variety of marketing actions: flyers for social media and viral pieces for phones (WhatsApp), complex digital advertising campaigns across several platforms, a YouTube video explaining to citizens how to split their ballot, and the launch of a game on the municipal website that teaches voters how to use this method and invites them to practice before the election.

The campaign’s standout actions are the microsite, the video and the interactive game, which together add up to more than 120,000 interactions.

Play and learn how to split your ballot

This is an educational game available on the web and on smartphones, presenting different ways to split your ballot. “Cuidá tu voto” is a broad concept in which learning to split your ballot is a right, regardless of the party you choose. So the game is not aimed at splitting the ballot for any specific candidate. In fact, it doesn’t show the real options, only “List A,” “List B” and “List C.”

To date, the game has had more than 40,000 visits, meeting the goals set for the campaign.

“Cortá Boleta” video

This educational video, made for social media, explains the concept of splitting your ballot in three simple steps. In other words, it teaches how to do it correctly in the voting booth so the vote isn’t invalidated.

In a short period of time, the video had more than 46,000 views on YouTube and 10,000 plays on Facebook.

“Cuida Tu Voto” microsite

The microsite was designed to help ensure that the election is a full expression of popular sovereignty. That’s why the platform offers information on the different situations involved in the vote. More than 25,000 people visited the microsite in the last two weeks.

San Miguel Interactiva (mobile phone app)

It’s worth noting that, as a San Miguel vendor, QKStudio was also responsible for developing the mobile app for the municipality of San Miguel, which already has more than 2,600 downloads.

Available for Android and iOS, the app is organized into three main modules containing a range of services and features: DO, CONNECT and DISCOVER. The main goal of San Miguel Interactiva is to bring the municipality closer to residents, letting users file complaints and traffic reports and access useful information about transportation, restaurants and bars, shows, paperwork and much more.

“We built the app because we understand that in a municipality where 97% of people have a cell phone, adapting to the way they communicate and access technology allows for more effective outreach.”

Explained the Secretary of Public Administration, Federico Kruse.

With San Miguel Interactiva, residents will carry the municipality with them and have it at hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To download it, they only need to search for it in the Google Play and Apple stores.
